Zero, the carbon- and innovation-focused working group, wants the industry to build the future, together. The group’s co-founders Johnathan Munkley and Matthew Jackson issue the rallying cry.

Zero Construct has always been about the people. We’ve built a thriving community committed to transforming the construction industry for a sustainable and innovative future. Construction is one of the largest contributors to the planet’s waste, carbon emissions, and biodiversity loss. At Zero, we want to be part of the solution – shaping the change our industry needs while creating a safe, inclusive space for everyone to learn and grow.

This month, Zero kicks off an exciting 12-month workshop series designed to address the key issues reshaping construction. Every two weeks, we’ll dive into a different topic, ranging from decarbonisation to digital construction trends, each focused on practical, real-world knowledge on topics such as low-carbon steel, digital twins, BIM and mass timber construction.

Content for the industry, by the industry

Each session will quickly be transformed into easily consumable content, designed for the industry to use for learning, education and discussion. It’s content created by the industry, for the industry.

Each workshop will zero in on a crucial area, providing real-world insights and actionable takeaways. These aren’t just theoretical discussions – they’re about learning from industry leaders and peers, sharing practical solutions, and driving real change in our day-to-day work.

Now is the time for us to step up and lead the change. The ZERO playbook showed us the solutions are out there, and through these workshops, we’re bringing the best minds together to show how we can use these solutions in real-world scenarios.

Shaping the future together

The construction industry is evolving rapidly. From the urgency of reducing carbon emissions to the need for smarter, more efficient ways of working, we’re all facing challenges that will define the future of our sector. We’ve designed this workshop series to do more than just keep up with these changes – it’s about sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and, most importantly, taking action.

We’re at a critical point in the construction industry where the challenges are bigger than ever, but so are the opportunities. These workshops are about bringing the community together to tackle those challenges and find the best path forward.

These workshops are not just about content: they’re about actively shaping the future and ensuring that our sector not only adapts, but also thrives in the face of these challenges.

Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, excited by digital innovation or focused on making construction more efficient, we want you to be part of this journey.
