May Winfield has been appointed as the new global director of commercial, legal and digital risks at Buro Happold.
Winfield takes the lead on all commercial, legal and insurance matters. She will develop new policies, systems and procedures on all services relating to construction technology, information management and BIM as well managing the risk of implementing new digital-related technologies and services.
Winfield is recognised within the sector as an expert in her field having spent 16 years working as a senior construction and insurance lawyer, and is a regular speaker and author on construction law and tech. She has considerable knowledge in dispute resolution, contract negotiation and risk management.
Previously Winfield worked as associate director and then as head of commercial and legal: cities and digital at the firm.
