OptimiseAI Predict tool promises energy savings now

OptimiseAI has launched a tool to help asset owners and managers quickly understand their buildings’ energy consumption and take action to reduce it.

All the hardware-agnostic Predict tool needs is a meter reading, a postcode and basic building information, such as the number of floors. Predict combines AI, a proprietary machine learning model, semantics and digital twin technology, and integrates with existing smart meters.

The Predict dashboard tells the user how much energy is being used, how much it is costing and what the carbon emissions are.

Users can then review tariffs from other energy suppliers via the tool, compare their building’s performance with the average for similar buildings, find out how their building would perform if optimised, and review suggestions to achieve that optimal performance.

According to OptimiseAI, if all buildings had smart meters and the asset owners and managers acted on the Predict analysis, an average emissions reduction of 15% could be achieved.

Nick Tune, co-founder of Optimise AI, said: “The data is clear – energy inefficiency is a massive yet solvable contributor to climate change. Current building management systems are not fit for purpose: only 10% of buildings have them, and even then they don’t give effective results to help buildings reduce energy and carbon emissions.
