Worried about incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into your business? Concerned about the use of AI-powered tools and the implications for your contractual obligations?
Send us your questions about AI to pose to our expert panel during the opening webinar of this year’s Digital Construction Summit, organised by BIMplus and Construction Management. The webinar will be broadcast live on 24 September.
Send your questions to [email protected]. The most interesting questions will be posed to the panel.
On the panel will be many of those involved in drafting the CIOB’s AI Playbook:
- David Philp, chair of the CIOB’s innovation advisory group;
- May Winfield, global director of commercial, legal and digital risks at Buro Happold.
- Stefan Mordue, senior manager, education programs & partnerships at Bentley Systems; and
- Vicki Reynolds, CTO at Catalyst.
Register to watch the webinar. The webinar is free to watch – and those that complete it live qualify for an hour’s CPD credit. Shortly after live broadcast, it will be available for watch on demand.
More Summit webinars will be announced soon. Partners for the Summit are the CIOB and Ideagen Mail Manager.
Last year, more than 1,800 professionals from across the built environment supply chain – representing major contractors, clients, consultants, architects and suppliers – registered to watch the webinars live.

1. Which standards can we refer to as we wait for regulators to come up with guidelines for AI use in the industry?
2. What can we expect from these guidelines as players in the industry?
3. Will we see any similarities to the EU AI Act?
I am concerned that there is a drive already for new roles without clearly defining responsibilities. BIM Dejavu in overdrive. Lets wait and see before rushing things, a common mistake we keep repeating. I worry this group moved from BIM to digital twins and then onto AI without solving the issues of the last whilst focusing on what is trendy and what sells.
