Emma Hooper has joined RLB Digital as head of information management strategy, the firm’s second heavyweight appointment of the year. The move reunites her with erstwhile Bond Bryan Digital colleague Rob Jackson, who joined RLB Digital in January.
According to RLB Digital, Hooper’s role will be intrinsic to the firm’s growth, which has seen the team double its digital construction headcount through targeted recruitment and the RLB Digital Construction Academy Programme.
Hooper was named Digital Construction Champion of the Year at the Digital Construction Awards 2022 and is a well-known industry figure who is active in many stakeholder bodies and standards development. She is also vice-chair of buildingSMART UK and a passionate advocate for IFC.
Hooper joined Bond Bryan Digital in 2017, working with Jackson. In January 2022, the business was bought by BuildData Group. Bond Bryan Digital then won Digital Consultancy of the Year at the Digital Construction Awards 2023.
“It’s time to take information management to the next level by emphasising the importance of data and making it easier for everyone involved.”
In September 2023, BuildData combined Bond Bryan Digital with its Createmaster business. Jackson left the business the following month, while Hooper was appointed head of R&D at BuildData’s then-new research institute.
Hooper said: “Joining RLB Digital is a great privilege and I’m excited by where we can go. It’s time to take information management to the next level by emphasising the importance of data and making it easier for everyone involved, with a strong focus on treating information as a valuable asset.
“RLB as a client adviser was instrumental in helping to establish the first integrated project insurance project that I was fortunate to work on, which has significantly influenced my thinking and career. Joining RLB Digital feels like the perfect match.”
More appointments
RLB Digital has made two further appointments. Surabhi Mohan Prasad joins the development team as a Power platform developer, and Debbie Dymott will support the team from a business development perspective.
Head of RLB Digital, Michelle Zompi, said: “RLB Digital continues to go from strength to strength, helping clients on their digital transformation journey and optimising valuable insights via data collation throughout the lifecycles of services, projects, and assets.
“Emma’s appointment and further team growth demonstrates RLB Digital’s commitment to digitising our industry, as well as promoting diversity within the tech workplace and showcasing the incredible skills and expertise that the RLB Digital team can provide to our clients.”
