French engineering giant Eiffage is partnering with Google Cloud to develop and implement artificial intelligence in its operations.

After an IT platform is created, Eiffage will use multiple Google Cloud tools, including Apigee API, the BigQuery data analytics platform, Gemini models and the Vertex AI machine learning platform.

Eiffage will focus on the design and implementation of tangible and specific use cases for AI. And the new platform will also benefit from the lower-carbon footprint of Google Cloud’s infrastructure, supporting Eiffage’s sustainability strategy.

AI will also become a subject in its online training platform, Eiffage University.

Jean Philippe Faure, Eiffage chief information officer, said: “AI is here to help our teams, regardless of their functions, entities, or geographies.

“This partnership aims to harness the full potential of our data, leveraging our integrated information system, the enterprise resource planning widely deployed across the group and various operations to improve efficiency, create value and drive sustainable growth while maintaining the highest security standards.”

Isabelle Fraine, managing director for France at Google Cloud, added: “Eiffage’s AI strategy is based on a strong data foundation, a human-first approach to implementation, open technologies, and built-in security.”
