The entry deadline for the Digital Construction Awards has been extended until close of play on Friday 14 March.
The Digital Construction Awards 2025 celebrate best practice and reward innovation in the application of BIM, information management and digital technology in the built and managed environments.
Anyone with queries about the deadline or entry process should email Justin Stanton.
Entrants are reminded to review the judging panel, which comprises experts drawn from across the built environment supply chain. They know what’s business as usual and what’s genuinely innovative or effective. Don’t try to dazzle them or pull the wool over their eyes: it won’t work.
Top 10 tips for entry
Here are the top tips to consider when drafting your entry to improve your chance of being shortlisted:
- Study the criteria closely.
- Make sure you’re entering the correct category.
- Review who won last year and read about their winning entries to understand what caught the judges’ attention.
- The entry form sets out the story that your entry needs to tell. Answer the questions and provide the information requested.
- Take the time to draft a formal entry rather than simply uploading content from marketing collateral: your entry will be all the better for this.
- Use clear, plain English.
- Jargon: construction is awash with it, but avoid using it too much in your entry.
- In the Challenge section, be mindful that as experienced and knowledgeable as the judges are, they may not have heard of your firm or project before. Provide the necessary context.
- In most categories, the Benefits and Achievements section is worth up to 20 points, so make sure you share detailed results of your work here.
- Get a colleague to proof your entry before you submit it.
The shortlisted entries will be revealed on 6 May and the winners announced at the gala dinner on 1 July at The Brewery in London.
The Awards are organised by the Chartered Institute of Building, Digital Construction Week (DCW), Construction Management and BIMplus. The first sponsor to be announced is Bluebeam.
