As a response to the current global challenges, job management software provider Commusoft has released an AR-enabled video call app for iOS.
The app, called Diagnose by Commusoft, enables clients to host remote support sessions with their customers where they can speak to each other, see what the customer sees, and add visual markers over the video using augmented reality.
With this tool, field service businesses can assist customers in diagnosing possible faults or issues without being physically present, determine whether an engineer is required to visit, and guide and direct customers with self-service or easy-to-fix issues.
Jason Morjaria, founder of Commusoft, said: “We wanted to provide a tool for our clients that would help navigate these unique circumstances and in turn provide a better customer experience despite the challenges.”
While the solution was designed to reduce unnecessary travel, there are additional benefits such as improved first-time fix rate and higher customer satisfaction.
Commusoft’s remote support feature for iOS is available for free to all Commusoft users for the next three months. Diagnose by Commusoft works for iOS to iOS video calls, with Android support coming in the future (more information here).
