An industry networking event with a difference is promised in Islington on 6 February, says co-organiser Pam Bhandal, marketing consultant and BIM Regions UK director.
The Built Environment Soirée calls itself “an evening of immersive decadence!” and is set to bring together participants from across the industry including architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, property owners, facility managers, project managers.
The idea is to make useful contacts across the industry and at the same time enjoy a series of events including award-winning cabaret, performances, immersive technology and music.
Bhandal added: “We will supply you with unique tools to help you make and remember those connections, even after you have had a few drinks and submerged yourself in the delights of our immersive delectable world.
“You will interact with a wall that crosses the boundaries between the human body, fashion and technology, look up and watch riotous performances that have been described as ‘pure artistry’, or dance the night away with new-found friends.”
Staged at Islington Metal Works behind Angel tube station, the Built Environment Soiree (@BEsoiree) is a non-profit event and is raising funds for the Mates in Mind mental health charity.
Tickets will include all entertainment, food, music and welcome drinks.
